What is FIDE ID?
A FIDE ID is a unique, permanent identification number assigned to chess players by the International Chess Federation (FIDE), the governing body of global chess. Functioning like a passport number for the chess world, it tracks your international rating, official titles, and tournament history across all FIDE-rated events worldwide.
Why do you need a FIDE ID?
A FIDE ID is your official international chess passport. It allows you to:
- Play in FIDE-Rated tournaments
- Obtain and maintain an official international rating.
- Earn FIDE titles.
- Keep a permanent record of your chess achievements.
- Be recognized as an official competitive chess player anywhere in the world.
Get your FIDE ID
1. Register for AICF ID registration (National ID)
2. Once AICF ID is received, send an email to the Indian chess federation to request the FIDE ID: indianchessfed@gmail.com
1. Register for NCFP ID registration (National ID) by emailing the rating officer iaredenacruz@gmail.com
